Brick stacked too close to the house can allow termites and moisture to enter the wall cavity.

A stack of brick or perhaps  firewood stacked next to the house can allow for termites to tunnel into the wall cavity undetected. It can also allow for moisture to build up behind the brick, as the stain on the rock veneer possibly indicates and cause moisture problems inside the wall which could go unnoticed for a long period of time. So, keep materials away from the house and you will not have a problem with rodents, insects and moisture.
