Round Rock Home Inspector Finds Unsealed R/A Chase

Holes in return air chase liner allow air to be pulled from the wall spaces.

Holes In Return Air Chase Liner

During a home inspection this issue with the return air chase was discovered. The return air chase is compromised by the holes being cut in the OSB liner. This will allow for unconditioned air to be pulled into the return air and possibly cause the unit to not operate efficiently. Which will cost the home buyer in higher utility bills.
